YOUR CHOICES

Consumer Health Data Privacy

Effective September 16, 2026

Categories and sources

Information linked to you that reveals an interest in surrogacy may be consumer health data. We receive it directly from you: account email; optional contact profile with first name, last name, and phone number; older onboarding answers such as preferred name, state or territory, research stage and timeline; saved agencies, comparisons and search preferences; and any separately supplied name, phone number and agency-contact permissions in the legacy profile. We also retain your permission choices, timestamps, and the notices you agreed to. Onboarding requests no medical history or identity documents and does not infer additional health characteristics.

Collection and purposes

Account and saved-choice information provides the account and shortlist you request. Onboarding is optional. With your separate collection permission, we save the answers you submit for your profile and to support your agency search, including access by authorized SurroCompass staff. You may leave each optional answer blank or skip the form. Your separate email choice permits future SurroCompass guides and updates relevant to your search. Declining does not affect service access.

Sharing and recipients

Profile sharing is intended for surrogacy agencies you save to your shortlist, now and in the future, so they can email you about their services. It requires a separate affirmative choice, which starts off. While sharing is on, saving or re-adding an agency includes it, and removing an agency stops future sharing with it. The categories covered are your first and last name, verified email address, phone number if provided, and interest in surrogacy, which can reveal reproductive health interests. This does not authorize phone calls or texts. Older search answers, other favorites, and search history are excluded. Older named-agency email-only permissions remain limited to their original scope until replaced or withdrawn; they never automatically authorize sharing the broader profile. Collection permission, SurroCompass email permission and agency profile-sharing permission are separate choices.

We currently record these choices without delivering contact information to agencies; email introductions have not started. This form does not authorize a sale of your information. Sponsors, data brokers and AI providers do not receive identifiable parent profiles or shortlists through this feature. The separate legacy phone-call permission feature also does not deliver contact details.

Cloudflare receives the email address and sign-in message needed to deliver account verification. Service hosting and private backup storage process information to operate and recover the service. These are operational service providers, not recipients of parent leads for marketing. No affiliates receive onboarding data through this feature.

Access, withdrawal, and deletion

Open Account to view and edit your contact profile and sharing choice. You can stop future agency sharing, or unsubscribe from SurroCompass updates, independently and without completing profile fields. Profile sharing applies only to your current shortlist while it is on. After you turn it off, new or re-added favorites do not restore it. Older email-only permissions are withdrawn when you remove the named agency and do not return automatically. You can ask an agency directly to stop emailing you.

Deleting onboarding information withdraws its collection permission, removes its answers and identifiable consent history from active storage, and turns off both SurroCompass marketing and agency-sharing permissions. Phone-call withdrawal remains in the separate phone-permissions settings. Onboarding deletion does not delete your account, shortlist, search preferences, or legacy phone-call records.

Contact profiles and onboarding information expire 12 months after your last confirmation. Affected retained backups are scheduled for sanitation within 30 days of deletion. The separate recovery journal prevents a backup restore from reinstating deleted onboarding information or withdrawn email permission. It retains only a keyed account fingerprint and the action needed to enforce that choice.
