How to read our agency information
Every profile should make it clear what is listed and what still needs to be confirmed directly with the agency.
Agency profiles
Profiles help you explore agency services, service areas, and intake availability. A listing is not an independent audit, accreditation, background check, or guarantee of accuracy. Confirm current information with the agency.
Missing information
Fields without supplied information are omitted from public profiles. We do not treat missing prices as zero, an office location as nationwide coverage, or an unknown intake status as accepting inquiries. State-browsing pages include agencies with a listed office in that state or documented service coverage there, in two separate lists. An office address is not treated as service coverage. Confirm current details directly with the agency before relying on them.
Pricing and other details
Pricing is displayed only when the agency has a listed price. Ask the agency for a current itemized quote and check its scope and exclusions. Ratings shown in a profile do not represent reviews collected from SurroCompass users.
Directory order and sponsorship
Organic directory results appear in a fresh random order on each visit unless you choose another sort. The order stays stable while you filter or save agencies. Paid placements are labeled and must match selected filters. Agencies with the same placement priority rotate. The agency browsing pages list agencies alphabetically. None of these orders ranks clinical outcomes or predicts suitability.
Guide authorship
Our guides are published by SurroCompass and focus on using the directory, comparing information, and preparing agency questions. They do not claim clinical or legal review. When a guide refers to professional guidance, the source is linked so you can read it in context. Dates change when the editorial content changes.
Corrections and listing requests
Basic listings and factual corrections are free. To request a correction, include the profile link, the field that needs changing, and a public source supporting the correction. Agencies can use the agency inquiry form; payment is not required for a correction.
