KNOW WHAT YOU ARE READING

How to read our agency information

Every profile should make it clear what is known, where that information came from, and what still needs to be confirmed.

Source-reviewed and awaiting-review profiles

Source reviewed means a profile has been checked against the cited materials, with a review date displayed. Source materials may be published by the agency itself. This is not an independent audit, accreditation, background check, or guarantee of accuracy. An awaiting-review label means that source review has not been completed.

Unknown information stays unknown

We do not treat missing prices as zero, an office location as nationwide coverage, or an unknown intake status as accepting inquiries. Reviewed state-browsing pages use documented states served. Confirm current details directly with the agency before relying on them.

Sources and dates

Read the linked source as well as the profile summary. The date describes when the profile was reviewed; it is not a promise that every detail remains current. Check the scope and exclusions of price estimates. Ratings shown in a profile do not represent reviews collected from SurroCompass users.

Directory order and sponsorship

Organic directory results are alphabetical unless you choose another sort. Paid placements are labeled and must match selected filters. Agencies with the same placement priority rotate. The reviewed browsing pages list agencies alphabetically. None of these orders ranks clinical outcomes or predicts suitability.

Guide authorship

Our guides are published by SurroCompass and focus on using the directory, comparing information, and preparing agency questions. They do not claim clinical or legal review. When a guide refers to professional guidance, the source is linked so you can read it in context. Dates change when the editorial content changes.

Corrections and listing requests

Basic listings and factual corrections are free. To request a correction, include the profile link, the field that needs changing, and a public source supporting the correction. Agencies can use the agency inquiry form; payment is not required for a correction.
